How to prepare wall before ordering Wallpaper?

Before installing wallpaper or ordering wallpaper from CustomWallpaper.in, please keep the following points in mind:

1. We require a flat, plane, level surface before Wallpaper application. This can be achieved only after putty plus 2 coats of oil primer of on wall.
2. Water primer is not recommended. We only recommend cement/ oil primer for best Wallpaper finishes.
3. Wallpaper can also be applied on other flat surfaces like ply or shiny/ glossy surfaces like sunmica or glass- but only after oil primer application on the said surface. For ply- please fill the ply joints with putty, as we require a flat, plane, level surface for best Wallpaper application.
4. As easy as it may seem, Wallpaper installation is not an easy DIY item. We always recommend you use a professional installer for Wallpaper application. They usually take Rs.10-15/square feet for wallpaper application, which is reasonable.
5. Wallpaper cannot be applied on damp wall.
6. Wallpaper can be easily applied to painted walls, as painting is typically done only after the wall has been treated with putty and primer. This means a painted wall is fully prepared for wallpaper application.
